Did you know you can kill germs and bacteria with the sun?
Items like mattresses and furniture can be bacteria free with the help of sunlight. Once or twice a month take them outside during peak sunlight and let them soak in some UV rays for 4-5 hours. Then bring them back in and vacuum them thoroughly. The sun won’t kill everything but it kills enough. For items that breed germs like towels and bed sheets, you can’t beat the power of the sun. Plus, it saves energy. For more alternative ways to save on energy click on our blog!
