Our Latest ReFIT Volunteer Project: A Roll-In Shower

Have you heard of ReFIT (Remodeling For Independence Together)? It’s a Portland nonprofit that helps people comfortably live at home despite struggles with illness, injury, disability, or the aging process. Through remodeling services, ReFIT helps people live independent lives.

Cornerstone Builders gives back to our community by donating our time and materials to ReFIT whenever we can. Most recently, our team volunteered to design and renovate a bathroom for a woman with progressive MS (multiple sclerosis) who desperately needed a roll-in shower. Here are some photos of the process and shout-outs to those who gave their time. Watch the shower come together!

Thank you, Chris, for the much-needed demolition and framing:

We had some tile from several projects out in the shop. This is the design we worked on for the ReFIT Portland shower and bathroom floor.

Thank you, Sergey, for the generous donation of your and your wife’s time to install the tile for the ReFIT Portland bathroom remodel!
