Beaverton Summer Events 2017

After a dreadful, long winter, summer is finally here! We put together a list of fun activities you and your family can enjoy in Beaverton this summer!

1. Hillsboro Tuesday Market

The Hillsboro Tuesday Night Market will return on June 13, 2017, in historic downtown Hillsboro, Oregon. Join us every Tuesday Night from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM until August 29.

Hillsboro Tuesday Night is a weekly summer outdoor festival and family destination featuring a food marketplace, art, shopping, live music, international cuisines, local events, and activities in Historic Downtown Hillsboro. The event is presented for the community by volunteers and a private nonprofit organization, the Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace provides a free community gathering place.

 

2. Beaverton Farmers Market

Located across from the Beaverton Library in the heart of downtown Beaverton, the Beaverton Farmers Market is the place to be on Saturdays! During the summer season, the market averages between 15,000 and 20,000 visitors on any given Saturday!

The market includes of nursery growers, farmers, and ranchers – both conventional and organic. Artisan food producers offer prepared products, including fruit, jams, farmstead cheeses, bread, pastries, pickles, pasta, chocolate, and more. The market also offers many amenities, including live music every week and is close the main Beaverton Library and City Park. At the park, you’ll find a playground, interactive fountain, and picnic tables.

The Beaverton Farmers Market is the perfect place for families to spend the day.

3. Third Thursdays/Beaverton

The City of Beaverton and Beaverton Arts Commission invite you to join them for the Beaverton Third Thursday 2017 summer concert series! Guests are invited to spend their summer evenings outside enjoying great live music, food, dance, and more!

All Beaverton Third Thursday concerts are free and open to the public. Come on out and dance the night away!

4. Fitness In The Park

Free Fitness In The Park is a program that offers a variety if free family-friendly fitness classes throughout the Beaverton area. They also will be having a Walk With Me series.

Enjoy the sunshine and the great outdoors all while achieving your personal fitness goals. All fitness levels are welcome, no registration is required.

Schiffler Park – Meet at the skate park
Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 7 am 

Classes will be higher intensity formats using the surroundings in nature mixed with body weight exercises for an exciting and fun workout.

Arnold Park – Meet at the playground
Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 6 pm 

Classes will be higher-intensity formats using the surroundings in nature mixed with body weight exercises for an exciting and fun workout.

Wonderland Park – Meet at the playground
Tuesday/Thursday, 7 am

Classes will be yoga-based. Please bring your own
mat, blanket or towel, or you may enjoy the fresh grass between your toes.

Griffith Park – Meet at the picnic area
Tuesday/Thursday, 6 pm 

Classes will be yoga-based. Please bring your own
mat, blanket or towel or you may enjoy the fresh grass between your toes.

Center Street Park – Meet at the playground
Saturday, 9 am

Classes will be a variety of formats including Zumba®, HIIT® and Yoga.

Melilah Park – Meet at the basketball court
Sunday, 9 am 

Classes will be a variety of formats including Zumba®, HIIT® and Yoga.

5. Flicks by the Fountain

Flicks by the Fountain is an annual outdoor movie event featuring pre-movie activities, music, food carts and a giant inflatable screen. This event is free and open to all ages.

All movies begin at dusk, with pre-movie activities and entertainment starting at 6:30 pm, in the park.
