4 Trends From New York Fashion Week to Home Design

With New York fashion week coming to a close we found inspiration for your home through the runway. I’ve spent many hours looking for the perfect runway to home trends. Take a look at these top 4 trends for 2016!

 Fringe:

We’ve noticed fringe was very trendy this year during NYFW. If you want to jump on the bandwagon, try finding a textured throw or pillow with some fringe detail. We found the looser the fringe the better.

 Patterns:

Wow, can you say “anything goes”? Designers went crazy with patterns this year. From textures and prints to mixing colors, you can get away with just about anything. Take your family room and add some color and a different pattern to have a stylish cozy place.

Comfort:

Comfort was a big trend this year. Oversized shirts, pants and jackets hit this year’s runway. Who says you have to be uncomfortable to be in style? From the runway to your room comfort is what it’s all about.

Transitional Jackets:

The surprise sleeper of the season is the duster, a lightweight coat that’s similar to a trench in weight, but longer in length and more fluid in shape. We saw a lot of these jackets on the runway for Fall 2016. Just like these jackets you can use your living room to transition into you kitchen for huge space to entertain.
